ARROWWOOD ELEMENTARY (AWE)

PARENT TEACHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION (PTCO)

A CHAPTER OF THE DOUGLAS COUNTY EDUCATION FOUNDATION.

Our Mission

The PTCO (Parent Teacher Community Organization) supports and collaborates with Arrowwood Elementary (AWE) to raise it to its fullest potential. We will support educational programs through fundraising. The PTCO will subsidize funding to expand the opportunities offered to students as identified by the school administration and endorsed by the board.

Our Purpose

• To enrich the educational experience of our children by providing fun, family-oriented activities, and events. And to develop private resources to enrich education within Arrowwood Elementary School to improve the educational experience of our children. 
• To provide parents/guardians volunteer opportunities to support the efforts of teachers and staff and to organize and facilitate PTCO events. 
• To provide teachers with opportunities to increase their classroom resources for educational instruction.
• To promote effective communication between parents/guardians, school staff, and the community. And to support our families and community businesses through sponsorship and fundraising programs.
